Julia Alschuler Goodman

Vice President

Julia Alschuler Goodman is a seasoned campaign and communications professional with significant communications and public relations experience on leading national issues and electoral campaigns. As Vice President at STG she helps lead STG’s advocacy and communications portfolio including developing integrated strategies for several national environmental organizations on issues ranging from stopping offshore drilling to protecting western lands from oil and gas development.

She has spent her career at the intersection of politics and issue advocacy working to build strategic and integrated campaigns. Most recently she served as Deputy Director for the Environmental Combined Defense Project (CDP) working to slow, stop and weaken attacks on environmental, climate and conservation priorities in Washington. Before her time at CDP she served as a Director at the Incite Agency where she built public affairs and communication strategies for leading non-profits such as Teach For America and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy.

Julia is a proud New Yorker and started her career working in New York politics and government including serving as Communications Director for State Senator Brad Hoylman and leading the women's initiative for Governor Cuomo's 2014 reelection campaign. When Julia isn't working to protect the environment, she can be found enjoying it with her husband and dog Levon in Washington, DC or spending time at the beach with her family.
